what's up?

powerful mach I?

mustang mach 1

still being kept from lifting anything more than what seems like a toothbrush. yes, my better half is very diligent about sticking with doctor's orders. i feel fine, and he says he wants to keep me that way.

so, in spite of ruby's show going on this evening, the most he would offer is to let me follow him around and watch him take pictures. i countered with, he could be my camera boy, and carry the tripod around, and set it up for me, and just let me focus and push the button. pfft. stalemate.

i've decided recovering from surgery is like going to a very loud concert, where your ears ring for days afterward. go to too many and you damage your hearing. then one day you wake up, you're all fine. so, i guess my ears are still ringing. but it was just one concert, i mean surgery, so i'll be ok, right?

but it's ok for me to work late. just slaving away in front of hot computer is ok. then i needed to eat dinner, so i went to disneyland. day before labor day weekend, and an hour and half before closing, not really that many people there. ate clam chowder overlooking the water in DCA, and left just as the color sprinkler show was starting.

then drove out of the parking structure just as fireworks were starting. why is it people in cars always act like they've never seen them, and randomly stop on the road to look up. hey, i'm driving here...move it.

hey ace, this one's for you. didn't quite catch the pearlized paint job, but i guess it's ok as is.

so why not post more flamey cars? why the heck not? i have quite a few in my collection.

found this one out in riverside at a charity show. saw several cars that i've shot before, but there was an ok turnout considering other shows i've been to recently.

hey gary...i remembered you...just had to place the face with the car. and so sorry, your hood was open, so i didn't shoot it this time.

this one, well, it didn't have a hood, but it did have glittery flames, so why not? it's got a wall-e engine. that thing must block your view while driving.

so shiny. i don't usually shoot these ’stangs. they don't usually do it for me, but this one was too nice to pass by. i am laughing now, because as i look at this shot all i can see is that this one really needs a car bra...a big grannie one...it apppears to be real cold out, if you know what i mean. but then i'm told i'm a bit twisted anyway.

der ss

so busy at work since i got back from vegas. tradeshow season, and i'm slammed by everyone needing artwork created for their booths, etc. i expect to be very tired for the next couple of weeks at least. but i've also managed to squeeze in several car shows, since the weather has cooled for a while.

muscle car

i usually walk past these muscle cars, mostly because the hoods are most always up. and i don't really care much about them, the lines of the cars just don't resonate with me like the older classics. they're nice, they're loud, and they move real fast, but ehh. i always get the feeling from the owners that i'm ignoring them, or the "what's wrong with my car" vibe, but they never really say it.

well, because the sky was overcast, and this puppy was so very shiny, i couldn't pass it up. i loved the reflection in the hood and fender too much. shows how much i haven't paid attention to these...i don't even know/remember what kind of car it is, much less the year. maybe someone will let me know so i can update my post.
